Why We Rock the Boot

Rock the Boot isn’t just a concert—it’s a community celebration and a vital fundraiser supporting Carter Lake Smoke Eaters Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. 

Every dollar raised helps fund essential needs for the Carter Lake Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department, including advanced training, updated safety gear, and lifesaving equipment for our firefighters and EMTs.

We may be small, but our impact is mighty. Founded in 1956, our department is made up of 25–35 dedicated volunteer members who respond to over 500 emergency calls each year—making us one of the busiest departments in Pottawattamie County.
