Our 2026 Mission

Equipping Our Heroes

This year, our goal is to raise $55,000 to update the second squad’s life-saving cardiac monitor and support outside training opportunities for our volunteers.

In 2024, thanks to the community’s support, we purchased a cardiac monitor for one squad—giving them the advanced tools they need to respond to emergencies. Now, we want to ensure both squads are fully equipped and ready.

We’re also committed to sending our volunteers to fire school, EMS conferences, and other professional programs so they can maintain the highest level of care for our community. Every donation directly supports equipment, training, and readiness—helping our heroes stay prepared, protected, and ready to save lives.

Years of service behind it; modern technology ahead. Lives depend on the upgrade

2024 & 2025 Impact Highlights

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, the 2024 & 2025

Rock the Boot concert helped deliver meaningful safety upgrades for the Carter Lake Fire Department.

Funds raised during the event—combined with grant funding—allowed the department to purchase brand-new VIKING turnout gear for every volunteer firefighter. Turnout gear is the critical protective equipment firefighters rely on when responding to structure fires, vehicle accidents, and other dangerous emergencies. Having modern, properly fitted gear ensures our volunteers have the protection they need while serving the community.

In addition to protective gear, the department was also able to purchase a new combination extrication tool, an essential piece of rescue equipment used during vehicle accidents. This tool allows firefighters to quickly cut and spread metal to safely reach patients who may be trapped inside a vehicle.

These upgrades directly strengthen the department’s ability to respond safely and effectively to the 500+ emergency calls answered each year.

Support from Rock the Boot continues to help ensure Carter Lake firefighters have the equipment they need to protect the community—and each other.

2023 - Zoll Cardiac Monitor

This state-of-the-art equipment is a game changer for our EMT's & Paramedics. Costing more than $40,000, it provides advanced cardiac monitoring, defibrillation, & real-time data to help guide critical decisions during life-threatening emergencies. Whether it’s a cardiac arrest, STEMI, or trauma call, the Zoll monitor helps us deliver faster, smarter, and more effective care when seconds matter most.

2022 - k12 Electric Saw

Unlike older gas-powered models, these modern battery-operated saws are faster to deploy, safer to operate, and more reliable in high-stress situations. They allow our team to move quickly and efficiently when lives are on the line—especially in structure fires, vehicle extrications, and other time-sensitive emergencies.
